Ho boy, I really neglect Deviantart. I do draw even if I don't post, my standards are just ridiculously high for this site. Hopefully I'll start getting more out over the summer! I really want to work on my character bios, adopts, and world building. That aside, lets get this party started!

Description:
Ashen is an exceptional dragon, having dragged himself from the bottom to the top. He watches over his people with a relentless stare, his harsh laws and punishments scaring them into submission. Though Ashen is a grizzled leader, he too, has weaknesses. Having been a warrior on the battlefield of a war he fueled, he is prone to severe PTSD and bouts of depression. If you are able to get close to him, you will find a dragon with copious amounts of wisdom and a craving for contact. 

Personality 
Ashen is a stoic, cruel, determined, and twisted dragon. Though he is a warlord and veteran, he does not slaughter for the sake of it. All he cares about is that his kingdom follows his rules without question, lest they be punished. Ashen is not interested in gaudy things. What he does enjoy is using a bit of trickery to mess with his server's minds. He seems to have a talent for finding others' weaknesses.

Physiology and Biology 
As majority of the dragon race are, Ashen happens to be a reptilian dragon. He was born black with dark stripes, but as he grew older his scales tinted. His wings, claws, horns, and spikes were white, but as he became "of age"they became crimson. His eyes are a common shade of green, but what sets him apart is his left eye. It is blind, and he has never told a soul how it happened. His namesake is from the Ash tree, as his tail resembles the tree's long leaves. 

Background 
Ashen was born in Canada, amongst the boreal forest. He was born in a clutch of 7, including himself. Times were getting tough for dragon kind, and one day his father decided to go see what he could do to help. On his way out, Ashen followed his father, not wanting to be left alone with his siblings and mother. His father allowed him to follow for a long while, silently seething, until they got into a fight that escalated quickly. One thing led to another, and Ashen's father swept him away with one claw to the face. Ashen's father quickly realized his mistake, and rushed to his son's side. His breathing was shallow, and it didn't seem like he would live. Thinking on his feet, Ashen's father dumped his son in the middle of a blizzard, covering him with snow and heading on his way. His father and family have no idea of his whereabouts, and he disappears from the public eye... only to reappear stronger than before.
